Blondie, you are soooooo right. When we came to our last hall, an elder informed us that the cobe had gone to our last hall to find out why we were in their hall even though we came with a good letter of recommendation (the elder that wrote it told us) as well as the backing of the co. The cobe got some dirt on us and brought it back to this body of elders and one of the elders sqealed to us. If you went out to lunch with that elder, him and his wife would tell us what was said at the elders meetings. It's really bad when an elders wife goes over to a disfellowshipped person and starts talking to them before any announcement is made that evening. And she did this infront of everyone at the hall. We had an elder in the old hall who"s wife did the time cards for her husband who was the service overseer. One day I was in a car group of sisters and they were asking the one elders wife what the local needs was going to be and she started to devulge and I said I don't want to know, thankyou. Just read my last post started and all of that shit was started from an elders wife gossip.

Why elders' wives are such gossipers...
by Calebs Airplane ini have a theory as to why elders' wives gossip so much.
i believe a big part of it has to do with the conversation running dry (between themselves and their elder husbands) after so many years of marriage.
since they don't get to spend too much "quality time" together (because of the elder husband's hamster wheel schedule), when they do have some intimate time alone, the elder's wives will invaribly attempt to engage their husbands in any kind of interchange.

Spoke to a brother from bethel tonight who knows us well and he told us to come in and talk to a brother at the service desk but first should see the co about it first. If the co can't do anything then he will set up a meeting with the brother here at bethel and that brother will investigate the matter. They know us well at bethel and know what we are all about. The elder there cannot believe the stunt these elders are pulling before the co visit. We never knew congregations could be soooo evil and we told that bethel elder that. He told us to stay put, pray and keep reading our bible. We will not go back but we want this harrassment to be put to an end. Troubled Mind that might be the magic bullet that ends all this therefore not giving them a chance to df us.Or will they still do it? I would love to send it to that one elder that is causeing us the grief but I guess it should be sent to the body instead so none of them come near us. I'm starting to see that there is a light at the end of this dark tunnel. Thanks!

Why won't JWs have "civilized" debates with home owners?
by ilikecheese init seems kind of crazy to go to someone's house touting your religion as truth and then not even defend your own beliefs.
why do jws stop the chat if someone just tries to calmly reason/debate with them?
i'm not talking about crazy preachers who start slamming bibles and yelling about how they need jesus or something.

We had a call where the mennonite guy brought a list of questions to the door and we went through our bible for each answer. We enjoyed it until we found out it was an elders return visit. The elder told us he only calls on him once a year because the guy has tons of questions. We couldn't figure that one out but then the elder told us there was no need to call on them for they are wicked. They just want to waste our time yet the elder had a bible study that had been studied with four different elders for a total of ten years. We ran into that study and till this day he believes in evolution.
We wondered if he's so wicked then why does the elder still hold on to this call. We don't try to figure it out. We're glad we're gone and out of this religion.

You guys don't know what your words have done for me(right now crying). We are right now posting no tresspassing signs around the property. If they enter it will be at their own risk. We spoke to the couple today and the elders told them that we did the same thing in the last hall knocking down the org. The sister told them to stop and didn't want to hear their gossip about us and then he starts reading her one scripture after another about gadding about. I asked how did they end up in the house and apparently when she answered the door she told them that she had said over the phone there was not going to be anymore shepherding calls and they said yeah we know what you said but now that we are here we would like to talk about your husband being seen talking to sister so and so. They were seen at a store together. If this sister didn't know me as well as she did it almost sounded like they were planting doubts in her to get her pissed off enough so she would spill the beans. At this point her husband wasn't home from work yet. Notice they made sure they said this without the husband there even though it was suppose to be about him. Just like when they brought us into it they should have come to see us but they were spreading slander to them. She asked why are you telling me this and they said we figure since you and your husband were close to us that they might know something. If we had such a bad reputation in the last hall then why did we come with a good letter and the co told the elders to use us so we were able to pioneer as well as work at bethel as day workers. They said that others from the congregation are coming forward saying that we spoke bad about the org(smell a setup coming) and that was only to get them to open up more. But it backfired. This is making me really really sick. More than anything we all want a good name for our reputation like the bible says there's nothing better than a good name but this is wicked wicked wicked. Tomorrow we will go and buy a tape recording device and we will see what happens next. Like I say, if they come onto the property and decide to piss us off then we will take it to the next step. They have no idea who they are dealing with and if this happens that we get df'd then you will read my story that will blow your minds. You'll also read a letter from our lawyer if they try anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will keep you posted

But that's just it. They have no reason unless someone is lying and gossiping. But then they should be coming to us if they have a complaint against us and we should be able to have our accusers come before us as well.

Got a phone call today from a couple from our ex congregation. He was visited again by two elders(one in training) again. Third shepherding call within two months. They never had one in thirty-five years but now the elders are on a witch hunt. They were told that they were seen with us and wanted to know what do we talk about. They told the couple that we have been questioning the fds by asking a question about Michael and Jesus. Then they said we weren't df'd nor have we disassociated ourselves from the org and that they were still allowed to say hello to us if they saw us on the street. They said we have been saying negative things about the congregation which is a lie. I feel they were hoping that the couple would say yeah we know and then they would have a case against us. They are slandering our reputation.
When we first came to this hall we had found out from one of the elders that the cobe had gone to our last hall wanting details as to why we were in this hall and brought the filthy gossip back from there to the body of elders here. Even though we came with a good letter and a good recommendation from the co to use us. I called him on it and he was embarrassed that he got caught and asked who told us so we told him the truth. Now they are pulling this shit again after we've been out of it for a year.
Tomorrow I will be putting up no tresspassing signs so incase they do drive in and pull shit on us with a jc, then after they leave I will have them charged with trespassing. The co comes in two weeks so now they are after us. Not one shepherding call nor a phonecall for our hours and yet they say we have to come to them. Is this making any sense to you folks at all. We left quietly and they are causing divisions. Noone calls us or comes over. I think they have told everyone the same thing. Two weeks after we were gone they gave a local needs on apostacy. So they plant that thought with everyone making them wonder who and now this bull crap.
The couple asked them why don't they come and ask us if they have a problem with us and the elder said we can come to them anytime. Well we didn't and now their out for blood. This poor couple have been harassed because they haven't gone to their meetings for over two months and yet the elders are saying we have something to doing with that. WE'VE BEEN OUT OF IT FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW!
This couple had already told them that they didn't want them coming around anymore and as soon as they got home from the hospital, BAM! Knock knock and there the elders were asking to come in. All because we were seen with them at a store and spoke for no more than five minutes. What if I threatened them with a lawyer? Slander, defameing ones reputation, pain and suffering ect,,, Would a lawyer even get involved in such crap? All in the name of the org hiding behind god. Have anyone experienced what we are going through? This is a freaking nightmare where we can't fight back or stick up for our rights unless we're willing to get df'd and have our family ripped from us. What a cult and all through two stupid uneducated bums who live off their parents and work parttime with no goals but to run around with swelled heads. What a couple of brain dead idiots.

What is your experience when you stop turning in time?
by gingerbread infor the past year or so, i've been turning in just one or two hours of service time.
it has been mentioned to me from an elder "friend" that i'm never seen at any meetings for field service.
i get his implication.

I'm starting to believe that elders are not allowed to ask for your time since its suppose to be volunteer. Noone came after us for our time and its almost one year now and that suites us just fine.
